For Sale: Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective [BOX SET] Game
"Have you ever had the desire to walk the streets of Victorian London with Sherlock Holmes in search of Professor Moriarty? To search the docks for the giant rat of Sumatra? To walk up Baker Street as the fog is rolling in and hear Holmes cry out "Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot?" Now you can!
You can enter the opium den beneath the Bar of Gold, but beware, that may be Colonel Sebastian Moran lurking in the corner. You can capture the mystery and excitement of Holmes's London in this challenging and informative game. You, the player, will match your deductive abilities against your opponents and the master sleuth himself, Sherlock Holmes. You are presented with a mystery to solve, and it is then up to you to trace the threads of evidence through the byways and mansions of nineteenth century London. You will interview suspects, search the newspapers for clues and put together the facts to reach a solution.
Why were two lions murdered in Hyde Park? Who is responsible for the missing paintings from the National Gallery? Who murdered Oswald Mason and why? These are just a few of the cases that will challenge your ingenuity and deductive abilities.
This is not a board game. No dice, no luck, just a challenge to your mental ability. The game has been thoroughly researched for Holmesian and Victorian accuracy so as to capture a feeling of that bygone era.
BOX CONTENTS: * 24" x 28"; Map of Holmes's London * London Directory: An alphabetical listing with addresses of over 1000 people and places used in the cases. * Rules: A complete set of instructions for one or more players. * Case Book: A two-section book containing the ten cases and solutions. * Clue Book: A listing of all clue points and applicable clues for each case. * Newspaper Archive: A collection of ten dated newspapers which provide clues and information pertaining to the cases as well as general Victoriana. * Quiz Book: A set of ten quizzes, one for each case."

We recently found this game in a vacation cabin we were renting for the weekend. It was so intriguing and a lot of fun. It's definitely too advanced for our 7 year old (but he does well with the other S. Holmes game). What I love about this game is the way it really stretches your deductive reasoning skills. It allows you to follow a logical trail through the use of the directory, case-book, clues, and even a newspaper archive. Also! It can be played against or with the other players (or alone) which makes for really adaptable entertainment. Very clever and rewarding game.

My 9 year-old son says: I got Sherlock Holmes and it was amazing! It was a bit hard but it was very fun! It comes with a directory of London, which has bank and golf clubs etc. It has more things that go with it. I recommend it for ages 9 or 10 and up.
A Great Classic Game

This is quite possibly one of my favorite games. It can be played cooperatively or competitively.
Love this game!
This game is AMAZING!!! So much thought required and NO LUCK. love it. I bought this version because I preferred the cover to the new one, and I love the materials inside.
Unless it's a really good reproduction.
I was honestly expecting a reproduction, turns out it's the real thing !
