221B Baker Street is the London address of the world's most celebrated fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his dedicated companion, Dr. Watson. In this detective game you start at 221B and travel through the streets and alleys of London picking up clues and attempting to solve the most intriguing cases Holmes and Watson have ever faced.

Each player assumes the role of Holmes and matches wits with the other players to determine who possesses the most skilful powers of deduction. The game includes 40 cases and each case is represented by a card that features a crime told in story form, a selection of probable suspects and a list of locations involved in that crime.

Clues are hidden throughout London, one in each of fourteen locations. Players must collect clues from each location, noting them down on their checklists as they attempt to find the answers to the questions listed on the case card.

Naturally, the crime scene will often contain vital clues, and a prudent detective always checks with the neighbours. Still, you can learn something vital almost anywhere in town. The first player to figure out the correct answers to a particular mystery or crime, return to 221B and announce the solution, is the winner.

For 2-6 players age 10+. Game takes 60-90 minutes to play.

This more colorful version of the game has a different (and better) board layout compared to the original, as well as superior playing pieces, cards and so on. One thing I found interesting was the substitution of "chemist" for "apothecary". I assume they assume most people don't know what an apothecary is. A tad insulting, I think.

Terrific edition of 221 B Baker Street

This version is absolutely fantastic!!!! Quality is excellent, as is gameplay. It comes with 75 cases, and I think this version of the game is better when compared to the same game sold in the U.S. We love playing our U.S. edition of 221 B Baker Street, but I'd definitely recommend this game from this manufacturer.

221B does have some Clue like elements to it but the game is really so ...

Once you play all of the cases the game is largely "done", as technically, you can only;y play each case once.. But to put it in perspective, with 75 cases, playing once a month, it will take you over 6 years to finish all of the cases in this game. 221B does have some Clue like elements to it but the game is really so much more. You really do feel like Sherlock Holmes playing. A very good game. And the Gibson Games version is the best version.

Love it

I had the original game with only the first 20 cases, Was hard getting all the expansion cases whiteout breaking the bank. Saw this with 75 cases, after I got the game it had all the cases I had except 6 cases. So I got 81 cases.
