Arthur Whitaker’s classic pastiche which he sent to Conan Doyle suggesting a collaboration in 1911, but was rejected. Conan Doyle payed a fee for the story but it was forgotten only to be rediscovered and published in 1948 as the ‘long lost Sherlock story’
